Iraqis turned out to vote Sunday in their country's first free election in a half-century, defying insurgents who launched deadly suicide bombings and mortar strikes at polling stations. By midday, at least 29 people were dead but the violence had slowed and voting picked up." Bush really hung it out there on this vote. It appears it will prove much of what he's been saying about how Iraqis want to have this freedom. So much for the argument that you can't bring freedom and democracy to those who really don't want it bad enough to instate for themselves. What a way for Secretary Rice to start off.
