It seems the attempt to "limit" soft money is never going to work. You just can't stop it. The only thing campaign finance reform has done is get people to find more scrupulous ways to get the money. It's also given Special Interest more power than they've ever had, exactly what cfr was supposed to stop. The right way to do this is to have full disclosure with no limits. The electorate needs to know who is giving what and to whom. Politicians should also use that information in defining their opponents.
