McCain Predicts Late-Night Win on Election Day - FOXNews.com Elections

McCain Predicts Late-Night Win on Election Day - FOXNews.com Elections: "In the latest FOX News poll 52 percent of voters chose McCain when asked who they trust to handle a foreign crisis that would 'test' a new president compared to 39 percent who chose Obama."

Quick thoughts on what I think about this election

I'm going for McCain because I don't want Obama's policies. I don't want taxes to go up, even for the "rich" because I believe raising taxes on the economy, especially now, will cause the economy to slow. Lowering taxes will help the economy grow. Anyone can simply spend some time looking up on the Internet at what happens to the economy when taxes change. I also could never vote for someone who supports abortion. I don't agree that we should be sending money as "tax cuts" to people who didn't pay taxes. I don't buy his response either that it's OK because they pay into social security and sales tax. Those aren't income taxes and sales taxes go to the state, so that's not even going to the federal government. I don't like the people he's been around and learned from, Wright, Ayers, and there are others who are big time anti-American. There's lots of other reasons also. I also don't like McCain for his illegal immigration ideas, that he wants to bring those being detained in Guantanamo to the US and allow them to use our court systems. I really don't agree with Campaign Finance Reform. But overall, I think he is still better than Obama. And I don't want Liberals having unchecked power, which it looks like they are going to get. I really am not happy with anyone running this time, except I do like Palin (she's cool). I'm voting against the worst one, in my opinion. But most of all, I want God's Will to be done no matter what and I know it will be. So, if Obama wins, then there's a reason and same with McCain. But I don't like thinking of what that reason could be. This nation has come a very long way to being anti-God from it's beginnings.

Who will win?

Name is optional

BBC NEWS | Americas | US Elections 2008 | Another October surprise?: "My money is on Osama Bin Laden popping back up with a hate video, just as he did the weekend before the 2004 election." Good try Jonathon, but it's going to be much worse. Ooh, I wish I could tell you. Don't expect it until next week.

AP presidential poll: All even in the homestretch - Yahoo! News

AP presidential poll: All even in the homestretch - Yahoo! News: "WASHINGTON – The presidential race tightened after the final debate, with John McCain gaining among whites and people earning less than $50,000, according to an Associated Press-GfK poll that shows McCain and Barack Obama essentially running even among likely voters in the election homestretch. The poll, which found Obama at 44 percent and McCain at 43 percent, supports what some Republicans and Democrats privately have said in recent days: that the race narrowed after the third debate as GOP-leaning voters drifted home to their party and McCain's 'Joe the plumber' analogy struck a chord." AP lies so much that I don't believe them even when I want to. I'm afraid that the numbers were manipulated to make it as close as possible so they have something to report on. It's designed to keep Democrats fired up. Watch now as in just a few days Obama will regain the previously reported lead.

Kerry’s answer to the ‘boxers or briefs’ question: He goes commando and McCain would say ‘Depends’ | Politicker MA

Kerry’s answer to the ‘boxers or briefs’ question: He goes commando and McCain would say ‘Depends’ | Politicker MA:

"These are the exciting last two week moments of the presidential campaign," the Boston Democrat said. "So it's a very special time. I can't wait for it to be over. I am so tired of the press' silly questions that they ask along the way. And cable television which reduces everything to stupidity - the lowest common denominator of conflict."

Kerry tried to relay to the audience what it is like to face the press corps' inquiries.

"I don't know if any of you know what it's like. I do, obviously," he said. "I've been asked all of those brilliant questions that were repeated this year."

"Barack got asked the famous boxers or briefs question," Kerry went on. "I was tempted to say commando."

The senator said Obama successfully parried that question but that John McCain, the GOP nominee, had some problems.

"Then they asked McCain and McCain said, ‘Depends,'" Kerry said to lots of laughter from the crowd.

Coralville Courier: Steve Soboroff's sign hoax to be reported

Finally put up my McCain/Palin sign Tuesday this week to have it
stolen Friday. I'm pretty upset with this infringement of my free
speech first amendment right. I've got my replacement sign and plan to
catch the thief if he/she tries it again.

I live in liberal Mecca, so it's no surprise. But when's the last time
you've heard of this happening in a conservative stronghold?

There's a lot more to this so read the story linked below. Liberals
are bad enough but I have no tolerance whatsoever for Stalinist DJ's.

Obama Explains His Tax Cut Plans To Plumbing Business Owner

"spread the wealth"
That's Obama speak for his Robin Hood economic plan. He's going to use
government to steal from the producers and give to the non-producers.
That's socialism. We have centuries of evidence that shows it doesn't
work. He believes that this will improve the economy "from the bottom
up." The only problem here is I've never worked for a poor person. I
think it's time to dust off the misery index from the Carter
administration days.

Manic Monday: Dow roars back from worst week ever - Yahoo! News

Manic Monday: Dow roars back from worst week ever - Yahoo! News: "NEW YORK - Wall Street stormed back after its worst week ever and staged the biggest single-day stock rally since the Great Depression on Monday, catapulting the Dow Jones industrials to a 936-point gain and finally offering relief from eight consecutive days of stock market carnage. ... The Dow gained more than 11 percent, its biggest one-day rally since 1933, and by points it shattered the previous record for a one-day gain of 499, during during the waning days of the technology boom in 2000." They're wrong again. The rise is from an over-correction, not from government involvement. Notice this article references 1933 as the last time we had such a big rally. I'm pretty sure GDI didn't end on that day.

FOXNews.com: Paulson Says Bank Stock Purchase Plan Is Moving Forward

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,436322,00.html

This bailout was the liberal/socialist/marxist way and the markets are
tanking directly because of it. This is going to be an unnecessarily
hard lesson for America and the world.

FOXNews.com: Panel: Palin Abused Her Power in Firing of Commissioner

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/10/panel-palin-abused-power-firing-commissioner

This is so typical from the dems that it's actually boring. Everyone
sees right through it for the partisan attack that it is.

I think O'biden is going to quite surprised shortly. The red-blooded
conservatives, I predict, have a nuke coming for them.

Obama Muslim Outreach Coordinator Under Fire for Meeting With Extremists - FOXNews.com Elections

Obama Muslim Outreach Coordinator Under Fire for Meeting With Extremists - FOXNews.com Elections: "Barack Obama's newly appointed Muslim outreach adviser is coming under fire for meeting with Islamic groups with extremist views, just two months after her predecessor resigned over links to a radical cleric. Minha Husaini met with members of several Islamic organizations in Virginia on September 15 -- including some that terrorism experts say have ties to Hamas and the radical Muslim Brotherhood. Among the attendees were senior members of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which was listed by federal prosecutors as an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror-related trial. Several people connected to CAIR have been convicted of felonies -- including on terrorism-related charges."

BBC NEWS | Europe | No banks bail-out fund for Europe

BBC NEWS | Europe | No banks bail-out fund for Europe: "Europe's biggest economies have agreed to work together to support financial institutions - but without forming a joint bail-out fund." Oh, now we see this. You mean, we didn't have to turn the mortgage industry over to the government after all? What in the world is going on? It looks like America is turning socialist and Europe is becoming conservative.

BBC NEWS | Business | House backs $700bn bail-out plan

BBC NEWS | Business | House backs $700bn bail-out plan: "The US House of Representatives has voted by 263-171 in favour of a $700bn (380bn) plan to rescue the US financial sector." So it's done. Dow fell 230 just as it was announced. Now what happens when in 3 months we find it didn't work. Will we put 2 trillion dollars out there? If anything's going to start GDII it's this chaos the government is causing. Re-distribution of wealth by the government does not cause growth, it will only hinder it. That's a conservative principle.

Who is this man?

Saul Alinsky You really need to google this name if you care at all how Obama plans to lead.

House plans second vote on bailout - Yahoo! News

House plans second vote on bailout - Yahoo! News: "WASHINGTON - Rejected once amid public fury about bailing out reckless financiers, a $700 billion rescue package is getting a second chance in the House as voters anxiously ponder an economic meltdown that could wipe out their ability to borrow, plunder their savings and put them out of work. Republicans and Democrats were jumping aboard the bailout as the House sped toward a make-or-break vote — a much-anticipated do-over after the plan met with a stunning defeat Monday, triggering a historic stock market plunge." The media, in this case AP, is just wrong about this. The plunge was happening prior to the outcome being known. Also, most Americans I talk to do not have this fear that is being portrayed. I believe most of us are mad as .... and have no desire to bail out stupid investors and stupid politicians, like Dodd and Obama and the rest. They should fail. Proof that things are not as bad as they say (they being the leftest agenda media) is this deal with Wachovia. Wachovia was to be sold for chump change to Citi (an arranged marriage by our government). Well, that didn't happen and now it turns out that Wells Fargo is getting them for substantially more money (about 7 times more). In fact, there was a bidding war I hear. This means, the media and our government are flat out wrong about this. It's sad when everything you hear from your supposed leaders is so cynical and depressing, and so wrong. The economy is good and most Americans know it.

BBC NEWS | Americas | Biden and Palin clash in debate

BBC NEWS | Americas | Biden and Palin clash in debate: "In turn Mrs Palin said Mr Obama was naive for saying he was willing to talk directly to the leaders of Iran North Korea and Cuba. That is beyond bad judgment. That is dangerous she said. The pair also sparred on the issue of climate change. Mrs Palin governor of energy-rich Alaska said human activities were a factor in climate change but that climatic cycles were also an element. She urged US energy independence as part of the answer. Key words used most frequently by Joe Biden in the debate Enlarge Image Mr Biden pointed to climate change as one of the major points on which the two campaigns differed saying If you don t understand what the cause is it s virtually impossible to come up with a solution." Biden wins! He wins the hearts of Socialists, Marxists, and Communists everywhere.

FOXNews.com - Report: Illegal Immigration Declines as Economy Falls - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum

FOXNews.com - Report: Illegal Immigration Declines as Economy Falls - Politics | Republican Party | Democratic Party | Political Spectrum: "WASHINGTON — Illegal immigration, which has sparked political and social turmoil in communities across the nation, is on the wane, according to an independent report released Thursday. The number of illegal immigrants entering the United States has slowed significantly the past few years, falling below the number of those entering the country legally, according to the report by the Pew Hispanic Center, a Washington think tank." So I'm wondering how many illegal immigrants were given mortgages. If this is the case, and I suspect it is based on what I've been reading, then these guys would be leaving and why should they care about their mortgage? As a matter of fact, what difference does it make if they were illegal, they were bad credit risks and these subprime mortgages that have been pushed by the government since 1999 (that's right, the real culprits are being identified now) are being dropped like dead flies. I'm guessing there are a lot of empty properties now and we have no way to even track the people who bailed. By the way, there's a great video on youtube called "Burning Down The House: What Caused Our Economic Crisis?" Google it. I'll try and get the link and post it. It explains it all. It's being pushed by the conservatives everywhere. Here's hoping the bailout bill fails again and justice is done to those who've damaged our great country's economy because of their own personal greed and lust for power.

Medvedev says Russia to leave areas of Georgia - Yahoo! News

Medvedev says Russia to leave areas of Georgia - Yahoo! News: "Russia agreed last month to remove its troops from the areas within 10 days of the EU deployment that began Wednesday. There were no immediate signs of a Russian pullback Wednesday in Georgia. But Medvedev told the visiting Spanish prime minister outside St. Petersburg that Russia will withdraw its troops in accordance with the agreement." I don't believe him.
