The nation's highest-ranking black government official, Rice has said repeatedly she will not run for president despite high popularity ratings and measurable support in opinion polls.

"Yes, I think a black person can be elected president," Rice said in an Associated Press interview Thursday.

My Way News: Intel, Partners to Make Electronic Quran

Dec 18, 9:06 PM (ET)

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Intel Corp. (INTC), the world's largest computer chip maker, has partnered with two Saudi Arabian software companies to develop an electronic version of Islam's holy book and a training computer for teachers packed with the government-approved curriculum for schoolchildren.

Intel said Monday the projects are part of broader push to bring low-cost computing and Internet access to emerging markets and are only two uses for the Intel-designed hardware.

Intel Chairman Craig Barrett attended the product launch in Saudi Arabia over the weekend as part of an overseas trip to unveil wireless Internet technology that Intel installed in the small Egyptian city of Oseem. An Intel development center in Cairo designed the hardware for both Saudi Arabian projects.

The E-Quran is a small computer with wireless Internet access that contains the text of the Islamic holy book, audio recitations in 40 different languages and interactive interpretations of the material.

Intel said it partnered with Dar Al Rasm Al-Othmani, a software company focused on religious content that contracted with an outside firm to have the devices manufactured.

Santa Clara-based Intel said it had no plans to commercialize or brand the devices, which are powered by low-power Intel processors, which act as the calculating brains of computers.

The other product is called E-Curriculum and was developed with Semanoor, an educational software company. The device is a portable, Intel-designed computer that is integrated with software containing Saudi government-approved curriculum for kindergarten through the 12th grade.

Semanoor said the program is currently being implemented in public and private schools throughout the Middle Eastern country.

My Way News - Panel Blasts Hastert in Foley Scandal

"Democrats received a brief mention in the report. The committee said that one Democratic aide, Matt Miller, had possession of suggestive computer messages written by Foley, and passed them along to reporters as well as a communications aide at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee."

My Way News - New Rules Compel Firms to Track E-Mails

WASHINGTON (AP) - U.S. companies will need to keep track of all the e-mails, instant messages and other electronic documents generated by their employees thanks to new federal rules that go into effect Friday, legal experts say. The rules, approved by the Supreme Court in April, require companies and other entities involved in federal litigation to produce "electronically stored information" as part of the discovery process, when evidence is shared by both sides before a trial. The change makes it more important for companies to know what electronic information they have and where. Under the new rules, an information technology employee who routinely copies over a backup computer tape could be committing the equivalent of "virtual shredding," said Alvin F. Lindsay, a partner at Hogan & Hartson LLP and expert on technology and litigation.

My Way News - Al-Qaida in Iraq Claims It's Winning War

My Way News - Al-Qaida in Iraq Claims It's Winning War: "BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Al-Qaida in Iraq claimed in a new audio tape Friday to be winning the war faster than expected in Iraq and said it had mobilized 12,000 fighters who had 'vowed to die for God's sake.' The U.S. military, meanwhile, reported that three U.S. soldiers and a Marine were killed Thursday in Iraq, the U.S. military said, bringing the number of Americans who have died in the country so far this month to 25. At least 105 U.S. forces died in October, the fourth highest monthly toll of the war. On the audio tape made available on militant Web sites, the al-Qaida in Iraq leader also welcomed the Republican electoral defeat that led to the departure of Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld. He added that the group's fighters would not rest until they had blown up the White House." I predict the now all-powerful democrats will first push for twice the number of troops in Iraq. Then, when that fails because we won't have the support structure for it, they will withdraw all of troops and blame Bush. Of course, Bush and Cheney will be out of office because of the impending impeachment.

My Way News - Gay Marriage Ban Rejected in Arizona

My Way News - Gay Marriage Ban Rejected in Arizona: "In a triple setback for conservatives, South Dakotans rejected a law that would have banned virtually all abortions, Arizona became the first state to defeat an amendment to ban gay marriage and Missouri approved a measure backing stem cell research."

My Way News - Democrats Take Majority of Governorships

My Way News - Democrats Take Majority of Governorships This is dark Wednesday for conservatives. It will be the dark ages for the United States by the middle of next year. Now that the nation has chosen "change" we WILL get it. The president is GOING TO BE IMPEACHED. Taxes WILL GO UP FOR EVERYONE. The nation has chosen the party that believes we have the right to kill the innocent but not the right to kill the guilty. We have put in power the party that rewards unproductivity and punishes productivity. This will become very apparent to everyone by the middle of next year. But it will be to late. The democrats are in control and there is NOTHING we can do about that for the next two years. Remember, all of the leftest socialist are running this party. You didn't hear from them during the campaign but you will now.

My Way News - Judge Nixes Warrantless Surveillance

My Way News - Judge Nixes Warrantless Surveillance: "The American Civil Liberties Union filed the lawsuit on behalf of journalists, scholars and lawyers who say the program has made it difficult for them to do their jobs. They believe many of their overseas contacts are likely targets of the program, which involves wiretapping conversations between people in the U.S. and people in other countries." Yes, we must never make their (journalists, scholars and lawyers) jobs difficult. Even if it means allowing terrorists to plan freely how to murder us.

My Way News - Bush Vetoes Stem Cell Bill As Promised: "Although many in the religious right are passionately opposed to embryonic stem cell research, most Americans support it, and Bush risks alienating that majority in the critical midterm year."

Bush heard swearing about Syria - Europe - MSNBC.com

Bush heard swearing about Syria - Europe - MSNBC.com Yet another example of blatant media bias. Who cares about this private conversation between leaders? It should have only made the press if Bush said something in contradiction to his public remarks, which he didn't. Clinton has had many private conversations inadvertantly broadcast. You don't recall any because the press never bothered with them. One I'll never forget involved Clinton cussing out a gardener for putting flowers or something in the wrong spot.

My Way News - Agency Recovers From Computer Break-Ins

My Way News - Agency Recovers From Computer Break-Ins I believe that there's a real possibility that the US will be at war this year with North Korea. It's also a fear that we could be at war with Iran and even more fearful is China. These computer break-ins are a clear sign that someone is preparing to attack us soon. The most likely suspect is North Korea, but I think also China is involved. China wants Taiwan back and I believe this is the last year they will wait, peacefully. They may not intend on attacking the US directly, but they know if the US is in a hot war with North Korea and possibly Iran, then we cannot protect Taiwan fully.

My Way News - Bush Begins Talks With European Leaders

My Way News - Bush Begins Talks With European Leaders: "Still, anti-Bush sentiment was prevalent. About 1,200 students chanting 'Bush Go Home!' rallied at a train station to protest his visit to the capital, where 1,000 police officers were assigned solely to deal with demonstrators. Another 2,000 officers patrolled the city. Leading the students was U.S. 'peace mom' Cindy Sheehan, who lost her son in Iraq and energized the anti-war movement last summer with a protest outside Bush's Texas ranch. Demonstrators waved black flags, blew whistles, beat drums and shouted, 'Hey, ho, Bush has got to go!' Others carried banners and signs that said 'World's No. 1 Terrorist' and 'Islam is not the enemy.'" So Cindy has given up on protesting here and has moved overseas. Good.

My Way News - School District to Monitor Student Blogs

My Way News - School District to Monitor Student Blogs: "LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. (AP) - High school students are going to be held accountable for what they post on blogs and on social-networking Web sites such as MySpace.com. The board of Community High School District 128 voted unanimously on Monday to require that all students participating in extracurricular activities sign a pledge agreeing that evidence of 'illegal or inappropriate' behavior posted on the Internet could be grounds for disciplinary action. The rule will take effect at the start of the next school year, officials said. District officials won't regularly search students' sites, but will monitor them if they get a worrisome tip from another student, a parent or a community member. Mary Greenberg of Lake Bluff, who has a son at Libertyville High School, argued the district is overstepping its bounds. 'I don't think they need to police what students are doing online,' she said. 'That's my job.' Associate Superintendent Prentiss Lea rebuffed that criticism. 'The concept that searching a blog site is an invasion of privacy is almost an oxymoron,' he said. 'It is called the World Wide Web.'" This guy I would call a poly-moron. This is pure harrassment and intimidation leading to real censorship. This one needs to go to court. I don't have a problem with people searching students' blogs, but as an official from the government, well this is what the first amendment is for.

House Votes to Keep Offshore Drilling Ban - Yahoo! News

House Votes to Keep Offshore Drilling Ban - Yahoo! News: "Lawmakers from Florida and California, who led the fight to continue the drilling moratorium, said they feared energy projects as close as three miles from shore could jeopardize multibillion-dollar tourism industries in their states." Whenever congress passes a bill in the cover of night, you know they are up to no good. My question is "What difference does it make if our coastline remains pristine if no one can afford to go there and visit?"

My Way News - Papers: Cheney Aide Says Bush OK'd Leak

My Way News - Papers: Cheney Aide Says Bush OK'd Leak: "WASHINGTON (AP) - Vice President Dick Cheney's former top aide told prosecutors President Bush authorized the leak of sensitive intelligence information about Iraq, according to court papers filed by prosecutors in the CIA leak case." The "drive-by" media (nickname credit: Rush Limbaugh) will go spastic over this. But I smell another rope-a-dope from Bush. It's assumed that the approved info. leak was about Plame, but that may not be the case. If it is the case, will Bush just pardon Libby? The DBM would just self-combust if that happens.

Michelle Malkin: VIDEO: "I AM NOT AN APOSTATE"

Michelle Malkin: VIDEO: "I AM NOT AN APOSTATE" Video of Christian convert Abdul Rahman. Under Islamic law, he is to be executed. The video clearly shows this man is not crazy as being alleged by the Afganistan government. The crazy plea is to find a way out of their law. If it works, then pressure from the West will be eased. But it doesn't address the fundamental issue, which is lack of freedom of religion. Without that, no Islamic State can ever be considered free.

This is an honorable religion? Islam is Peace?

If you are a muslim that converts to christianity, you are to have your head cut off! This according to a moderate muslim cleric.
"Rejecting Islam is insulting God. We will not allow God to be humiliated. This man must die," said cleric Abdul Raoulf, who is considered a moderate and was jailed three times for opposing the Taliban before the hardline regime was ousted in 2001. Raoulf, who is a member of the country's main Islamic organization, the Afghan Ulama Council, agreed, saying, "The government are playing games. The people will not be fooled." "Cut off his head!" he exclaimed, sitting in a courtyard outside Herati Mosque. "We will call on the people to pull him into pieces so there's nothing left."

Islam is an honorable religion. It is one of the world's great religions. It has every possibility to live in peace with other religions.
Condoleeza Rice http://www.heritage.org/Research/MiddleEast/wm938.cfm
The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That's not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace. These terrorists don't represent peace. They represent evil and war.
