Obama On Economic Crisis, Transition, Also Discusses National Security, Iraq, And His Cabinet In 60 Minutes Interview - CBS News

Obama On Economic Crisis, Transition, Also Discusses National Security, Iraq, And His Cabinet In 60 Minutes Interview - CBS News: "(CBS) Kroft: Have you been reading anything about the Depression? Anything about FDR? Mr. Obama: You know, I have actually. There's a new book out about FDR's first 100 days and what you see in FDR that I hope my team can-- emulate, is not always getting it right, but projecting a sense of confidence, and a willingness to try things. And experiment in order to get people working again." So Obama has been reading up on the Great Depression? That's perfect. He's going to drive us right into GDII by following how we did it before. FDR failed at taking us out of a deep recession (where we are at now) and plunged the country into a full blown depression for years. Obama wants to mimic this?! Oh man, what have we done to ourselves. I'm sure he'll attempt to pack the Supreme Court (if he even has to) also. I also read that Paulson believes this economic crisis happens once or twice every 100 years. Sounded nonchalant to me.
