Iowa City School Board approves tax rate | Iowa City Press Citizen | press-citizen.com: "The Iowa City School Board unanimously approved by a 6-0 vote a property tax rate of $14.59 per $1,000 of taxable valuation at a special meeting Thursday afternoon. This is a drop of about 10 cents from the current $14.69 rate,
but it will translate into the taxpayer paying $708.19, or about $19 more, in property taxes to the school district than the current $689.08 bill due to an increase in the residential rollback."
