Junior highs fare well on ITBS scores

press-citizen.com | Local News: "According to the test results re-leased this week, 74.4 percent of all eighth-graders passed the reading comprehension portion of the exam, while 82.6 percent were considered proficient in the math part. This bests the state targets � 66.7 percent passing for reading, and 65 percent for math �to meet standards of the federal No Child Left Behind Act. Under the federal law, 100 percent of all students will be required to be proficient in read-ing and math by 2014."
